Barbara Rolls has done some very interesting research with portion size and food intake(some of which I briefly mention in your food diary notes - that individuals tend to eat until they are "volume full", and not necessary "calorie full"). Eating foods low in energy density seems to be a very practical concept in weight management. (If you, or anyone is interested, I can send you some of her relevant research articles.)
