It's 12:50 p.m. and my stomach's growling.
I brought a Lean Cuisine with me, but it's really the last thing in the world I want to eat.
My alternative is to find someplace downtown that's quick. But I also want to stay healthy. A portion size that's not for two people would also be good.
Any suggestions on where to find a quick, healthy lunch in downtown Greensboro?

I ended up with a quick BLT (hold the mayo) and a side salad from Cincy's.
I realize bacon's not all that healthy, but the lettuce and tomato are. Hey, I could have gone for a lot worse!
There's always Subway and Chick-fil-a salads. Those are my staples. The Lean Cuisines don't keep me satisfied for long. Good luck on your weight loss!

You will absolutely LOVE Zaytoon, located at the U.S. Trust building on Elm Street, just south of the Marriott. Healthy entrees and salads, fresh ingredients and very, very flavorful. I have been eating there three times a week since I relocated my office to downtown, and I am still losing weight. Can't be all bad! Also, it's about a 3-block walk from the N&R, so you will also gain some fitness benefits that way as well.
I'll have to try Zaytoon's some time.
The places I depend on regularly are Metro Gourmet (chef salad) & Natty Greene's (cobb salad). I used to get the steak ceasar salad at Cafe Europa once a week, but the quality of the meat went down & I don't go there any more. I've also started using the folks who deliver here at the N&R -- apple spice.
The only downside is that you have to order by 10:30 for noon delivery. Good stuff I've tried: cobb salad (not nearly as good as Natty's though), cashew chicken salad, chicken ceasar salad.
Best of luck to you in week 2!
